This month we take a look at Shell Chinderah Bay and Aaron sits down for a chat with owner Tony Nash.

Aaron -What is your job title?

Tony – Owner.

Aaron – Tell us about your business?

Tony – Established 1957 purchased 2003.

Aaron – How did you get started in this business?

Tony – I have owned service stations since 1993.

Aaron – How many people does Shell Chinderah Bay employ?

Tony -Ten.

Aaron – How long have you stocked Tweed Bait at Shell Chinderah Bay?

Tony – It was stocked before we purchased the store.

Aaron – What are the best-selling baits?

Tony – Pilchards and prawns.

Aaron – Do you like to go fishing?

Tony – Sometimes.

Aaron – What is your favourite bait to use?

Tony – Live worms! HAHA, maybe just worms.

Aaron – How important is Tweed Bait to your business?

Tony – Very important it would be in the top three products sold with fuel and cigarettes.

Aaron – What will people get from your business that they won’t get anywhere else?

Tony – The whole package. Fishing licences, bait, tackle, barista coffee, ice, fuel, hot food, customer service

Aaron – Thanks Tony is there anything else you would like to tell us about your business?

Tony – We are one of the only retailers of bait that is opened 24hrs and accessible by boat being across the road from the river.
